Our story

A legacy of faith,
a future of leadership.

The Gathering House Christian Center was founded by Pastor Kim Whyatt in 2019 as a place where people can encounter the presence of God, grow in their faith, and discover their God-given purpose.

What began as a vision inspired by prayer and obedience has become a community where lives are transformed through worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and service. Through God’s faithfulness and the dedication of many believers, this house stands as a testimony — a refuge for those seeking hope, and a training ground for leaders called to advance His Kingdom.

The Gathering House is more than a place of worship — it is a place of preparation. We are committed to training and equipping leaders who are spiritually mature, biblically grounded, and called to serve with excellence in ministry, their homes, their workplaces, and the world.

Why we gather.

Church is what happens when God’s people come together. We gather in unity of spirit to worship the Lord, to encourage one another, and to show God’s love in ways that can be seen and felt — because together, we are stronger in Christ.

And the gathering is never for its own sake. We believe in building a community that helps the needy spiritually and physically — inside these walls and far beyond them.
